sweetfeet
I recently found out that Harvard book store will print Google books in the public domain for $8 a piece with very reasonable shipping. I'm compiling a list of books to order and was looking for more ideas. I'll start with what I've found so far. Handbook of Nature Study The Yellow Fairy Book 6th one down is the $8 version. Medieval Mom
GRAMMAR-LAND Poems That Every Child Should Know :) ETA: I just looked at Yesterday's Classics on amazon. For those books that are available through amazon.com, most are in the 4-for-3 offer, which would save even more $$ (plus free shipping) than ordering through Harvard. ;) Edited February 12, 2010 by Medieval Mom

Daisy
I have no clue how that happened. I've had Google Books a long time. I know I just gave each book a label and it appears when they changed over to the new format it gave each label it's own bookshelf? I'm still not sure how it all works. Haiku
With Pencil and Pen. Wow! That looks awesome! To me it seems like a gentler version of Sheldon's PLL. Thanks so much! I think that would be great for my ds (whose birthday is TODAY!!). Tara

stripe
I am so enjoying seeing everyone's picks. Here's my bookshelf. I love the "Don'ts" for boys and girls, Tara! ("Don't be a prig. Medieval Mom
Bummer! I was just getting ready to place an order with Harvard Bookshop; but they have DOUBLED their prices. What books were $8 are now $16. Urgh. :glare: Anyone know of a more reasonable printer? (Good thing there is always Yesterday's Classics!) stripe
Do you live near any of the locations with the Espresso Book Machine? I don't know if any of the others fulfill mail order requests. I did find this blog where the author seems to have identified some interesting information about bookstores in Washington with the machine and other useful stuff. Unfortunately, I don't live anywhere near the Espresso Book Machine locations. stripe
It looks like there are some others that may fulfill mail requests. They look like amazing machines but I think they cost a purty penny! I'd love to have one too. :)
Medieval Mom
Yep! I think they run around $90,000... :svengo: If I had that much $$, I'd collect the original, antique books ;)
