Lovedtodeath
DH has ruined 2 pair this week and 3 others in the last month. I told him he needs to stop wearing his Levi's to work in. So what should he wear?

Lovedtodeath
Thank you! Is there a particular product that is better than the others?
Mothersweets
Yes, Carhartt's!!! They hold up like iron, but are more comfortable. :) I think they have several different styles. My dh usually wears the "normal" jean style while my teen boys wear the carpenter style. Both styles have lasted a long time for us. Oh, my dh and boys do farm/construction work so the clothing really gets used. hth!

I wore them out even further. They were probably decades old even at that time.
Audrey
One word: Carhartt http://www.carhartt.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/HomeView?storeId=10051&catalogId=10101 Yup! My dh has Carhartt overalls and jeans he's had since he was in his early 20's. He still wears them and they still hold up. For reference's sake, he'll be 39 again this year. ;) Edited February 22, 2009 by Audrey
motherofjoy
Get the double fronts. They simply last forever, and when one layer wears through, there's another layer underneath.
Lizzie in Ma
These are awesome.
Mel in K-zoo
One note about Carhartts. They are cut narrower in the thighs than some types of jeans, so you might want to have him try them on instead of ordering them from a catalog. My husband can not wear them. Of course it has been a couple years since he tried, so maybe they are different now.

KatieJ
My DH switched to the Kirkland brands of jeans at Costco for work. His Levi's are just too cute and too expensive to get ruined at work. Kirklands are 12.99 a pair!

Nestof3
My husband and eldest son wear Dickies work pants (khaki ones). They're great!
