sassenach
What stores sell this? We are moving out in exactly one week and I just found a big red pen stain on the carpet. I have managed to pull it up to a light pink, but still noticable stain. Using google, I think I've determined that Rit is the way to go. My choices are order it on amazon, pay $30 for 1 day shipping (it takes another 2-3 days to process and ship from Joann's), or find it in a B&M. Does anyone know a store that carries this besides Joann's?
Pongo
I would suggest Goof Off, I love this stuff!!!!
OnTheBrink
Walmart, Kmart, any mass merchandiser that sells RIT will have it. Even the grocery store.
LaxMom
Yes. Usually in the laundry section of the grocery store.
Suzanne in ABQ
JoAnn's sells it, too. Test it on an inconspicuous spot first, though. It will remove color you *want*, sometimes. I've never used it on carpet, though, only on clothes. It changed some of the colors of my clothes, as it was getting the over-dye color out. Tutor
Have you tried plain-old rubbing alcohol? It worked amazingly well on getting red crayon out of car upholstery. (It took a little bit of time to get it all out, but it did work. You have to change cloths frequently.) I think it is supposed to be good on red dye in general. Hope you can get the stain out.
