Crissy
and so far from my family, I think I could live here in DC. I'd spend my days at the Library of Congress, and the Smithsonian, of course! At the very least, we will be coming back here for a longer visit next time. :) Jeffrey had a wonderful day, and a great visit with the Librarian of Congress (I posted a few photos here). While we were there, one of the curators invited Hunter back tomorrow to play one of the violins in the Library's collection. A Stradivarius! :w00t: Oh, how we have been blessed! Jean in Newcastle
Wow! What a neat trip. That's great that you are chronicling it. I'm glad it's cold there if it keeps you from moving away!

Melissa in Australia
you could send some of the cold weather over this way. we are in the height of summer. yesterday it was 42oC and stinking hot with a strong north wind ( a hot wind, the south wind is the cold wind here). next to no humidity, so dry it is like walking into an oven.
