Where to order a live plant online?

Recommended Posts

I greatly prefer to send living plants over flowers - flowers die, and then there you are a week later, still sick or recovering from surgery or bereaved or depressed or whatever, staring at dropped leaves and mucky water and rotting stems.

Whiteflower has a limited range (which varies by season) of potted plants -- I've sent their pretty-plant-of-the-month to my mother some years and they've been lovely.

But I've also had quite good experience just googling florists near the recipient and calling to ask if they have something potted -- they often do; or nurseries in the area to ask if they can deliver -- they often can.
