klmama
My dog is getting her teeth cleaned Tuesday a.m., and she was supposed to not eat after 9:00 tonight. At around 10:00 she ate some spilled Goldfish crackers before I could get them picked up - maybe 5 or 6 crackers. Is that enough for there to be a problem with the anesthesia? Jean in Newcastle
I don’t think that one hour later than the cutoff will matter. His stomach will still be empty in the morning.

Selkie
I think it will be fine. Our vet uses 10pm as a cutoff for morning surgeries and procedures.
Pawz4me
Our vet uses midnight as the cutoff, and they start surgeries as early as 8:00 a.m.
Shoeless
It will be fine. Mention it at drop-off so they are aware, but that tiny amount of food won't matter. If they are feeling very cautious, the vet will delay the dentistry by an hour and work with another patient first.
