Brittany1116
I am reading Because of Winn Dixie for the first time and LOVE the story and the characters. My kids like it well enough. They like the plot of The Tale of Despereaux but think the book is too dark overall. My boys are 6 and 11. Which other DiCamillo books might they like as a read aloud? Which might I like best as a personal read? Basically, sell me on the next title. 🙂
Noreen Claire
We just listened to The Magician's Elephant on a long car ride and my boys (5, 8, 10, & 13) really enjoyed it.

mom31257
I love The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane, but it be might too much for the 6 year old. There are sad parts and some serious issues included.
sweet2ndchance
The Tales from Deckawoo Drive series is great if you like Mercy Watson. They are stories that take place in the Mercy Watson world but they are a bit longer and little more complex than the Mercy Watson books.
