Joanne Posted December 9, 2008 Share Posted December 9, 2008 I was gifted by players in my poker job with a room to stay and a buy-in for this event. The only thing I had to do was take off a couple of days of work, get there and have money to eat. I made not only "the money" (as they say in Poker vernacular), but I made the Final Table and placed well! You can read about it here: http://www.worldseriesofpoker.com/news/article.asp?newsid=2240 It was wonderful, excited and odd! We had a Commentator for the Final Table who detailed our moves. At one point, I folded my cards and RAN to the bathroom, offering our commentator plenty of fodder. Several of my poker players were there (they played and were eliminated early) and were cheering me on. My DH was here, working and taking care of the kids. Other than the birth of my kids and marriage to DH, this was the most exciting moment of my life! (I guess college graduation got bumped off the list).
