I checked the K-3 and 7-8 lists and saw that they're different, too. Does anyone know how frequently they are updated? It looks like they have tried to be more inclusive with the new list - adding titles that represent a more diverse set of experiences and viewpoints. My oldest doesn't struggle at reading at all, BUT he does prefer to read below grade level, but I have to challenge him a bit, butI didn't want to give him the hardest book on the list.
