Meadowlark
I need recommendations for a science program for my kids in grades 2,3,4 next year. For obvious reasons, I want to combine them and do one program. Here is what I’m looking for- 1. 2-3x/week max 2. Christian but not in your face YE 3. low teacher prep time 3. minimal experiments Things I’ve already ruled out are TGTB (gives me a heart attack when I look at the supply lists!) and Nancy Larson. We’ve dabbled in Mystery Science but want something a little meatier and book based. Thoughts?
Momto6inIN
Berean Builders It does have experiments with every lesson, but they are not hard and don't require a bazillion materials. Hits 1-3 on your list for sure.
Syllieann
Maybe bookshark/sonlight or guest hollow?
JessinTX
GuestHollow has several topics that might work well for those ages together. Knowledge of Nature or Science of the Seasons in particular.
Lori D.
Nancy Larson level 3 ?? -- for ages 8-11; 80 lessons, 45 min/session, 3x/week; expensive ($329), but all included, even with scripted teacher guide
Ellie
Charlotte Mason. Ambleside Online has it all figured out. Go with year four (rule of thumb: teach to the oldest child and let the littles come along).
