daijobu
I ordered a skein, and I need more yarn than I thought I would. (I made a big goof and I just want to start the project over.) I'd like to order from the same dye lot. Do you think that will be possible? it's a Bernat brand yard ordered online from Yarnspirations. Thanks! Carol in Cal.
You can call and ask, but when I wanted one dye lot of Lion yarn, I had to order it from the company to be sure of getting it.
Mothersweets
Yep, call and ask! Or you could look on Ravelry and see if anyone has a skein of the right dye lot for sale. What are you making?
Miss Tick
The short answer is no, but knitters are such a friendly, helpful group, they will try to hook you up. I've never ordered from Yarnspirations, but I was already wondering if I might have a skein or two of what you need. 😊
kbutton
If you can't and are already starting over, you might find that you can use the two skeins on alternate rows, and it might not be noticeable. Depends on how different it is. I used this strategy once to make a hat from two completely different yarns in very similar colors (same care instructions), and it looked intentional and nice.
