J-rap
Just bumping my own question. 🙂
Storygirl
We have a La-Z-Boy queen size sleeper sofa in our den. DH has slept on it a couple of times when one of us has been sick and didn't want to keep the other awake. He says it is fine to sleep on, although he dislikes sleeper sofas in general and can't bring himself to say it is actually comfortable. DH is 6'5" and built like a football player. I figure that if it is acceptable for him, it is probably fine for anyone smaller. The store had an upgrade option of adding an air mattress to make it more comfortable, but we did not spring for that, thinking that we could always put an air mattress or other padding on top ourselves if we thought it was needed. J-rap
You know, I thought about La-Z-Boy because I've heard such good things about them. I wonder if they come in a double/full-size. We're moving from a home to an apartment, and even though the apartment is large, the halls are narrow and there's a sharp turn into our den. I don't think a queen size would fit, but a double/full size would.
Storygirl
They do come in full size. Our space for the sofa is small, so we chose a sleeker style with slim arms. There were two like that with queen mattresses, so we had our choice of two styles and then choices of multiple colors if we wanted to special order. There were more full size sleeper styles, I believe, but we were committed to getting a queen for the comfort of guests.
Storygirl
Our queen size sleeper sofa is about 74.5 inches in width. Not completely accurate, because I didn't have someone to hold the other end of the tape measure steady. But no more than 75".
Storygirl
https://www.la-z-boy.com/p/sofas/kennedy-queen-sleep-sofa/_/R-510593 I think this is ours. It also comes in full. The dimensions say 77". That may be across the back; I measured mine from arm to arm to get the 75"; the back may be slightly wider. The full size is 69" wide. So smaller, but the same price (right now, at least). Edited June 11, 2019 by Storygirl
PrincessMommy
I have this and am happy with it. I sleep on it occasionally and it works fine. It's a bit firm. I was able to get it on sale. https://www.wayfair.com/furniture/pdp/red-barrel-studio-bloomquist-sleeper-sectional-rdbl1816.html It does not show it in the photos but under the couch is like a trundle that pops up flush with the couch. Two people can sleep length-wise. Amazon has better photos: I didn't order it from Amazon because the shipping and return was not as good as Wayfair. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00R2P4WVY/?coliid=I18QTT6X79XTJM&colid=30EYOAHO8AX1D&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
Laura Corin
We've been happy with our Ikea sofa bed. I'm not sure what counts as 'full size' though.

I guess "full" is a double size, as opposed to queen size. So still sleeps two, but a bit more crowded. 🙂 What model is yours?

My mum slept on it for a few months and I've also used it. https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/sofas-armchairs/sofa-beds-chair-beds/grönlid-2-seat-sofa-bed-inseros-white-spr-19278093/

It's good to know that you recommend it.
