goldenecho
I'd like anything you got about the History of Christianity and slavery (the good, the bad, and the ugly). Book suggestions, articles, stuff online, etc. Can be general or specific stories/cases (like, for instance, I've already learned some about St. Patrick and slavery, and what Augustine taught about it). This is for my own personal research and so doesn't have to be "kid friendly." Edited February 28, 2019 by goldenecho
JIN MOUSA
Just this past weekend I heard about the Slave Bible, used in the 1800s, so a little more recent than your examples. https://www.npr.org/2018/12/09/674995075/slave-bible-from-the-1800s-omitted-key-passages-that-could-incite-rebellion

Ottakee
I am currently reading Barracoon: The Story of the Last "Black Cargo". It is the true story, in his words of one of the last slaves imported into the US in 1860. He speaks of religion, being converted, his religion in Africa, treatment of some of the white church leaders, etc. https://www.amazon.com/Barracoon-Story-Last-Black-Cargo/dp/0062748203/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=baraccoon&qid=1551394436&s=gateway&sr=8-1

I have come across some.racial slurs....but it was written in the 1930s in the deep South. The language is a bit harder to read as it has own words in a broken English/deep South dialect....but very authentic.
kbutton
Very specific--Report on Slavery and Racism in the History of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. I have read it. http://www.sbts.edu/southern-project/ I have not read this, but it's a bit broader but also about the Southern Baptist Convention. http://kentuckypress.com/live/title_detail.php?titleid=1765#.XHhzAehKjIU The particular theological error that was embraced is known as the Curse of Ham, and you can google all kinds of stuff about that, including academic/historical information about that mis-interpretation over time and what kinds of things were justified with that mis-interpretation. You can probably find information defending it deeply as well. I had no idea until I read this article that this mis-interpretation has even been used in crazy ways inside Africa itself: https://www.imb.org/2018/06/12/the-curse-of-ham-genocide/
