Dental pain stinks (JAWM)

I hear you. I had a filling done in a molar last Monday, and the tooth has been hurting ever since. (Sharp stabby pain.) We've been "waiting and seeing" but I have a feeling that it's going to be a re-do. Boo!

(I have major dental anxiety, too, so I didn't want to go in the first place. Going back 2-3x to fix this has got me in knots!)

Exactly.  I am now in the watch and wait zone to see if they have to do more.  It sucks.  And I have major dental anxiety, too.  Bad experiences as a child but this dentist is really good with it and works with me.

The same for me. Bad childhood experiences but a decent dentist now...though I still get anxious.

Hope you find some relief and it's easily resolved.

I've been told that tooth pain is some of the worst pain you can have.

Many dentists have given us this formula for pain, and believe me, it helps!  It helped my husband more than prescription pain meds.

Take up to 600mg of ibuprofen and 1000mg of acetaminophen at the same time.  You can do this no more than once every 6 hours, for up to 24 hours.

(If you want, you can start with 400 - 600 mg of ibuprofen and 500 - 650 mg of acetaminophen, and move up if necessary.)
