Wendi
We're studying Lincoln and the Civil War for the next month or so. I'd like to assign a good biography of Lincoln. What do you recommend? Thanks, Wendi

Wendi
I think we read this??? Thanks. I checked my library's website, and they have it. It's by Sterling North, too. Wendi
readwithem
A Boys' Lincoln is pretty good, a bit dry though....
mcconnellboys
If he's up for it, Albert Marrin's books are all terrific.
Lori D.
"Lincoln: A Photobiography" (by Freedman) is a beautiful book, with simple, moving, direct text and (of course) a number of photos, plus illustrations. While written for gr. 4-6, it would certainly be a wonderful first book for a unit on Lincoln. BEST of luck, whatever you go with. Warmest regards, Lori D. Rhonda in TX
I got it because it was in Sonlight Core 4. I really like it. (DS hasn't started reading it yet, so he doesn't have an opinion.)
