goldberry
We had a thread fairly recently about skin care, and someone gave a good source for vitamin c serum that was not too expensive. I've searched all different ways and can't find it! Argh! Can anyone help me??
milovany
I purchased TruSkin Naturals Vitamin C Serum based on that thread, and have been using it for about a week. I love how it feels. HTH!
crazyforlatin
I forgot what was mentioned on that thread, but I’ve been using one vitamin c after another for a year with different price ranges. On the cheaper side are Timeless, https://www.timelessha.com/products/20-vitamin-c-e-ferulic-acid-serum-1-oz and one that I want to try, Indeed Labs, https://indeedlabs.com/shop/vitamin-c24-s/. I went through some expensive ones like DCL Skinscape, Skinceuticals, Drunken Elephant, and Peter Thomas Roth. I don't see much difference, or if there is, it's subtle. I like how Peter Thomas Roth feels because of it's creamy texture. Another one that I tried is Ordinary, https://theordinary.com/product/rdn-vitamin-c-suspension-23pct-ha-spheres-2pct-30ml?ccm=d23a1be47323454da3004e7c62d55e0901793dbfee098e8d3e585b3647425d967c9700cc2cf839eeddb6f732c6eb13b4cee11e9a4f30a3846773daa3ee6cd73f916fa4b4731c85ed33bd7bee501427847300f9b1f04cdd40d3568d7c5beee1bd8ea221aa131329368d17d92330d314bb5e7835dc2c23424418543fe017f0840a653dfdf246a03800f4936921324d0d89, but due to the gritty nature of the product it's best to mix it with some hyaluronic acid. Another one where I’ve read good things is Mad Hippie, https://www.amazon.com/Mad-Hippie-Vitamin-Hyaluronic-Ferulic/dp/B00DKF7XPW/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1530132106&sr=8-1&keywords=Mad+hippie+vitamin+c I prefer to try a new vitamin c product after finishing up the current bottle.

I think there are probably a lot of great vitamin c serums and more coming out. The problem is keeping it stabilized. I found that skinceuticals oxidized rather quickly despite all the raving reviews. And now there are different derivatives not just l-ascorbic. Usually after finishing one bottle you're supposed to see improvements; and I'm not sure if I have, but I don't really pay close enough attention to wrinkles and spots. So rather than sticking to one brand when there are so many out there, I prefer to try different ones. I just placed an order for another one by Korres. Nothing so far has made me think it's the holy grail.
madteaparty
Op, you can also make your own with (at the most basic) vit C powder and water. I buy a variety of brands like crazylatin and even though I keep the serum in the fridge I can’t tell how effective they are and how long they’ve sat in a warehouse, etc. i use other stuff for my skin so it’s not like I can tell if the vitC serum specifically is working.
Negin
The only one that I've liked so far is the one by Drunk Elephant. I don't care for their packaging, however, and feel that I'm being ripped off, but as far as their texture and consistency goes,. Drunk Elephant is my current favorite. I don't like any serum that's too liquidy. Those frustrate me. I also am not a fan of things that come out in droppers.
