Night Elf
I've got a good number of bottles of prescriptions that weren't finished for whatever reason. I know not to throw them in the trash but I don't know what to do with them. They're just in my drawer taking up space. Would any pharmacy have a way of taking care of them? I suppose I can call some tomorrow to ask. What do you do with old medications?
alisoncooks
We have a ton of old meds from DH's cancer days. We were told that they could be taken to a pharmacy or the sheriff's office for disposal.
xixstar
Many communities have special disposal locations or events. Our local recycling center advertises events but I am sure there are other groups running them too.

Arcadia
There are locations that are Controlled Substance Public Disposal Locations. You can search for nearby locations using the below link. Kaiser and state university health service do take old medications. https://apps.deadiversion.usdoj.gov/pubdispsearch/spring/main?execution=e1s1
Ali in OR
Your pharmacy can probably tell you where you can dispose of it. In my town, there are a couple of yearly collections but if I want to get rid of something before that there is a drop box at the sheriff's office in a nearby town. I don't remember seeing a drop box there though. I'll call in the morning and ask what to do. Thank you!
