Their tutorials show descaling using their own descaling product. What is the solution? And, what can I buy otc that is a substitute? Thanks! Pawz4me Posted November 27, 2017 Share Posted November 27, 2017 (edited) I use white vinegar or some powder stuff I picked up. I think it’s called Brew Rite or something close to that. It works better than vinegar, but of course vinegar is more natural. You can probably use any coffee machine cleaning/descaling product. ETA: My Keurig is at least four years old, so apparently the products I’ve used haven’t hurt it. Katy Posted November 27, 2017 Share Posted November 27, 2017 The instructions that came with mine said to use either their product or half vinegar - apparently some brands of white vinegar are super acidic and can break some gasket down.
