3andme
I'm looking for a creative writing class for ds 14. Definitely, not my strength so I'm hoping to outsource this. I've looked at Bravewriter and they seem to have some short course offerings. Has anyone used Bravewriter or another online course for creative writing?
lisabees
:bigear: Listening in because dd14 recently discovered that she loves creative writing and is good at it. It was Bravewriter's Kidswrite Intermediate that revealed this, but dd prefers creative non-fiction and there aren't any classes for that.
nutella08
The Great Courses has some lectures that might be of interest: Writing Great Fiction: Storytelling Tips and Techniques Writing Creative Nonfiction I've also been looking at MasterClass: James Patterson Teaches Writing https://www.masterclass.com/classes/james-patterson-teaches-writing
Nemom
DD15 just completed a nine week course through Soverbose. She enjoyed it and I think it was a perfect fit for her. Weekly assignments were emailed to her and then graded by the "teacher". Assignments were between 200-400 words depending on the week. https://www.soverbose.com

Rebecca
Also AP Language with Mrs. Serbicki and AP Lit with Maya Inspektor offer creative writing opportunities. The AP Language has creative non fiction options. HtH, Rebecca

SoCal_Bear
I haven't used them, but I saw that there are semester and year-long courses over that WTMA. http://www.wtmacademy.com/courses/?filter_subject=78%2Cwriting&query_type_subject=or
Julie of KY
My daughter has done some of the creative writing with Brave Writer and really enjoyed it.
lisabees
My daughter has done some of the creative writing with Brave Writer and really enjoyed it. DD is signed up for WTMA's Creative Writing. I do wish Bravewriter had a Creative non-fiction course, though. She loves BW and will continue with their essay series.
