mamakelly
My older kids did it ages ago with a class. I found the guide book in the garage (LOL!) and want to implement it this year. I'm not loving SOTW 4, so we are going to switch topics to California history. Does anyone know of any good note booking pages (free or not), that go with this study guide? I"ve looked all over and can't seem to find any.
AdventuresinHomeschooling
Sorry, I never used the guide. But we read several of the books as supplements. My son especially liked By the Great Horn Spoon and Island of the Blue Dolphin. We used CA History for Kids by Katy Duffield as our spine. There were great activities in it and interesting chapters. KrissiK
And don't forget Doris Gates' book "Blue Willow". Love that book. We use "His California Story" by Lesha Meyers and we like it.

I love that book. I was one of the proof-readers. :-) Lesha's family kept up with production of it for awhile after she passed away, but I guess they finally gave it up. :crying:

rebbyribs
We used it last spring. We enjoyed several of the books - By the Great Horn Spoon, Patty Reed's Doll, Island of the Blue Dolphins, and Zia. None of us liked Cruise of the Arctic Star though, and that part seemed to drag on forever. We didn't do notebooking pages.
