1GirlTwinBoys
My brother's Wheaton Terrier was just diagnosed with this. He had 2 hair loss areas on each side so my brother took him to the vet this morning.
Tasha
Our Weimaraner had it. He had hair until he was about 2, and then only had a thin amount on his head and legs.
Pawz4me
I haven't dealt with it personally, but I believe symmetrical hair loss, particularly on the flank area, can be a sign of Cushing's disease. And that can be hard to diagnose, especially early on. And I think a lot of Greyhound people swear by melatonin to help with alopecia. He may want to do some research on that. Here's one reliable source that discusses causes of alopecia and treatment with melatonin (and other things).
