Is this acceptable for transcript:

Recommended Posts

9th World Geography

10th World and US History I

11th World and US History II

12th Govt/Econ

or is this better:

9th World Geography

10th World History

11th US History

In the midst of planning curriculum changes beginning our 10th grade year!

US History listed as a 1/2 credit for 2 years to accommodate the part 1 and part 2 might be an option.  Colonial and Revolutionary War, Civil War, 1865 - present, you could name it by the era studied.

You could also list the World History specifically: Ancient Civilizations, Medieval and European World History, etc.... with a 1/2 credit for each year.

I did a little looking online and found lists of college courses for ideas for names. Much information is available.

Organizing your transcript by subject might help this flow better.

Personally, I would see how it would work in a course description before I name the course.  As long as the content makes sense - so college admissions offices can understand how your student got his grades.... you have flexibility to spread the required content to 2 years.

If you are arranging the transcript by year I would do this:

9th

World Geography 1.0 cr

10th

World History to 1500 (or whatever you did) 0.5 cr

United States History to 1850 (or whatever you did) 0.5 cr

11th

World History 1500 to present (or whatever you did) 0.5 cr

United States History to 1850 to present (or whatever you did) 0.5 cr

12th

United States Government 0.5 cr

Economics 0.5 cr

If you're arranging by subject:

Social Science (or Social Studies or whatever you want to call it)

World Geography 1.0 cr

World History 1.0 cr

United States History 1.0 cr

United States Government 0.5 cr

Economics 0.5 cr
