LoriM
I really enjoy the Trinity Series books edited by Os Guinness. The first book is When No One Sees: The Importance of Character in an Age of Image. All six books are outstanding, but of all of them, WNOS is my favorite. http://www.ttf.org/index/resources/studyseries/
Gayle39
Thank you, LoriM. I will check out the series.
outtamyshell
In, But Not Of It's a small book by Hugh Hewitt written as a gift-book for the new grad. I don't think it would be considered a 'world-view' book. I'm not exactly sure what you mean. But Hugh Hewitt has worked in the political world, and his book is a call to young Christians to become leaders in the world. His point is that we need good, Christian leaders in every field. So as you turn away from Babylon, you should still seek to be involved in the world and make a difference. The chapters are short. And I found some of his advice really surprising and inisghtful. Hoggirl
This is a book written by homeschooled teens encouraging other teens to rise above the low expectations that the world has for them. I ordered my copy from Amazon, but they have a website as well that also has a study guide.
Kendall
I would preread the Os Guinness books. We like the first one, When No One Sees, but Steering Through Chaos has a few selections that I did not want my teen sons to read. One was from The Rainbow by D.H. LoriM
I did WNOS as 10th grade, first semester, and Steering Through Chaos second semester 10th grade. Then the two "American" books in junior year (along with civics/history), and the two "Who am I?" books in 12th grade (along with college choices). Hi Lori! What age did you use this with? THANKS! FloridaLisa
Henry Blackaby's Experiencing God.is a must-before-graduation on our list. It's an amazing Bible study that explains how to determine God's will for your life. It's also available as a book. HTH, Lisa
