CTVKath
Does any know of good dance instruction videos for a 7 year old girl? Something light, basic and fun. Could be ballet, jazz or a mix of styles. There are not any classes in our immediate area and the ones that we'd drive to are more rigorous, training for the Nutcracker type classes. I'm not looking for that (yet). I'd like some introductory type videos to have fun with at home. If my daughter grabs onto them, then we'd look at the rigorous classes in the future. Thanks! SparklyUnicorn
We had this one years ago: https://www.amazon.com/Ballet-101-Beginners-Class-DVD/dp/B0002XQKOK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1480422167&sr=8-1&keywords=ballet+
Storygirl
I don't have a video suggestion for you, but I hope you find something. I did want to mention that real ballet classes start around age 8 (before that, classes are considered pre-ballet), so if you think she may be interested, don't wait TOO much longer to consider starting classes, or she will be older than the other beginners, which can discourage some children. Renai
We have this. Although it the first part is called "Baby Ballet" the whole video is good for up to about age 8, not babyish at all. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00008QSAZ/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Edited November 29, 2016 by Renai
CTVKath
Thank you!!! Those both look good. I just need something to get my daughter started and see if she likes dance or not. If she wants to pursue it, then we'll get her into a class.
