Sending transcript after a move

Ds has one school that requires a high school transcript for his transfer application. We moved this summer, so the address is out of date. 

 

What is the protocol for this? Should I: 

 

A. Change the address of the school on the transcript since technically the "school" itself moved locations. 

 

or 

 

B. Leave the address the same as he finished high school at that address and explain the move in a short professional cover letter. 

 

 

I'm leaning toward B as I feel like I should not tamper with the finished product of his transcript. However, I thought I'd check to see what others might have done.

I've not gone through this, but I would not change the transcript.  Once it's done, it's done.  It's an official document, right?  Don't change it.

I would change the address on the transcript. If a b&m school changed building location, the physical school address would change.

I'd update the address and possibly include a letter explaining that you have done so.  The point of having the address is so that the student's high school can be contacted, if more info is needed; the college can't contact you at the old address.
