Louisiana Flooding

There's over 100,000 people effected in one parish alone. Cell phones have spotty coverage. I've had multiple family members with flooded homes. Two of my relatives are pregnant, caring for their children, and staying with others. They've lived in Louisiana all their lives and never experienced such flooding.

Here's a news story:

I'm sorry for the destruction there. I have a friend who lost her home in Katrina. She is not flooded currently, but many of her friends and family are.

It's sad to see. :(

There is devastation here like I have never seen in my 48+ years of living here. It is unbelievable. We are blessed to be in an area that is dry, but the first flood-related death occurred about 7 miles from my house. We know a LOT of people who have lost everything. In one parish, over 85% of the homes are flooded. I know there are some boardies from that parish, and I surely hope they are safe and dry!

One thing I will say is I have never seen so many people helping people in my life. It makes me proud to live here.

Please keep our communities in your prayers.
