DawnM
Our scale is not working properly and hasn't for a while. Two of us (possibly 3) want to lose weight this summer. Middle son has asked that we replace the scale. I am thinking of getting something that would calculate more than just weight. Maybe fat, BMI, muscle, etc.... Thinking of this one (and I would like to stay under $100) https://www.amazon.com/Omron-Body-Composition-Monitor-Scale/dp/B0020MMCDE/ref=pd_sbs_121_24?ie=UTF8&dpID=41n%2BAJ88XzL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=FBP74CC6DB75YR8W4DJA#customerReviews Thoughts? Any other suggestions?
Pippen
This one doesn't have all the extra bells and whistles, but we have this highly rated and reasonably priced scale. After replacing scales at a rate of one per year for awhile I wanted something reliable and this has done well for us. https://www.amazon.com/EatSmart-Precision-Bathroom-Capacity-Technology/dp/B001KXZ808/ref=sr_1_4_s_it?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1465820256&sr=1-4&keywords=bathroom+scale
gingersmom
I have a regular Tanita scale that is about 10 years old, accurate (to doctors scale) and won't die :)

It's required one battery change and works perfectly. I gave it to a family member because I got one with more bells and whistles but this is an excellent, reliable, reasonably priced scale. It is working great for them. https://www.amazon.com/EatSmart-Precision-Capacity-Recognition-Technology/dp/B004L6NTHU/ref=sr_1_1_s_it?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1465821034&sr=1-1&keywords=eatsmart+bodyfat+scale I've also had this one since September 2013. It has not yet required a battery change and works well. I do not know how accurate the bodyfat calculation is, but it is within 2% of what I got for myself with the military bodyfat calculation and with a machine at the gym, so it is working fine for me. Honestly though, I could have saved the money and just gone with the military calculation and been close enough. Both of them need to be placed on a stable surface to work (tile floors are not friendly) but after that work great.

I personally wouldn't spend any extra on a scale that had more bells and whistles unless I just wanted it for the fun factor (if you can call it that). I don't believe any of them are reliable for body fat, so I'd take anything it told me with a great deal of skepticism. And BMI is easy enough to keep up with. DawnM
Thanks. I might just buy the scale now and then buy one of these if I feel the need later: https://smile.amazon.com/Omron-HBF-306CN-Fat-Loss-Monitor/dp/B000FYZMYK/ref=pd_bxgy_121_img_3?ie=UTF8&refRID=WPC21238HMJNWRPEGRVT
