Alenee
4yo dd had an accident today while wearing her black patent leather shoes. The velcro is soaked as well as the insoles. Please tell me there's a way to clean these! They were so expensive and fit her so well which is VERY hard to come by with her. What do I do?
Tammyla
I'd try wiping them down with white vinegar and setting them out in the sunshine.
Alenee
I'd try wiping them down with white vinegar and setting them out in the sunshine. Sunshine? What sunshine? It's been pouring for three days! I will try that though as soon as the weather turns.
Pam "SFSOM" in TN
4yo dd had an accident today while wearing her black patent leather shoes. The velcro is soaked as well as the insoles. What do I do? It surely would not hurt to rinse them, then rinse them again with Nature's Miracle pet odor remover, then blot them and let them dry. They got wet once, they can easily stand to get wet again. It's not going to hurt them more as long as you do it rather quickly.
camibami
And if it makes you feel any better, urine is sterile. SO its not really "germy" or anything, though I guess it is a little gross. I second the vinegar and sunshine.
In The Great White North
Borax claims to eliminate those odors too.
