sweetbaby
Is there a rigorous or just as thorough alternative to R&S English yet gentle? Does that exist? I'm doing a little investigating for one of my twins. (5th grade) Thanks.:001_smile:
Hen
have you looked at Growing with Grammar? I did a review of it here, Growing with Grammar show and tell I really like it, it seems painless, my kids don't complain. I do have them explain the lesson back to me very quickly after I have corrected the page- tho I skip that sometimes if it was very obvious... BizyPenguin
Perfect for our family. You can see samples on the yahoo group. :iagree: We love love love CLE math and lang arts. I tried R&S math and lang arts before CLE and love CLE so much better. Actually, CLE is like a cross btwn R&S and Evan-Moor. Much gentler, fewer tears, easy peasy to teach. Can't say enough great things about it. If you go to my blog and click "Curriculum Reviews" you'll find my comparisons of CLE and R&S Lang arts and math. You'll also find detailed reviews of CLE lang arts and math. You can call and order samples to see if you like it. The first sample is free. Other samples are very inexpensive. Approx $3 each. HTH! Hannah
Another to consider is Kiss Grammar. It's free, so worth a try.
