Bethlehem Lights.    Ours are about 9 years old and still going.   QVC normally has them in July and they sell out quickly.  I got some from there and another set from ebay.  They have a timer and can be set to flicker, steady and color changing.

A good friend has some from Plow and Hearth which she's had for 10+ years and has never changed the bulb and never had one die on her.  Much better than my cheapo Michael's lights which last all of two seasons most of the time!!!

I buy the Philips brand that Target sells and get them on clearance after Christmas.  They've been going strong for at least 5 or 6 years.  I've changed the C batteries twice, and I leave them up in the windows for months during the winter.  I don't think you can ask for more.
