El...
I want to get DH a new apple slicer as a stocking stuffer. DH takes a sliced apple to work every day. He likes the pampered chef apple slicer (the press down type), but it is finally starting to rust after about 7 years. Is there another slicer you like better? Tell my about the latest innovations in apple slicing. :D
sarasue7272
Pampered chef, all others I've owned break.

Mabeline
Yup, the new pampered chef one is stainless steel and should not rust, so it will last a long time.
Chris in VA
Just a nice paring knife, here. I do like PC, though. That, and their pizza wheel, are my fav things PC sells.

I use a knife, myself. He won't. Don't know why. Thus, the gadget! :) Thank you, folks!
Eagle
Ours is by OXO. It works well and we've had it for several years.
Stacia
Skip the slicer & show your dh this video instead... No slicer needed & no leftover core either. (Yes, it works. I now eat apples this way after watching the video awhile ago.) :)
