When you create your own HS planner... what do you do put in it?

I'm really excited about the planner I've put together/organized, but I'm interested in what others include in their planner and organize them.

Here is a list (in order) of what I am including in my planner:

- Blue and White Calendar

- Vertical Calendar

- Course of Study

- Curriculum Key

- Year-at-a-Glance

- Week-at-a-Glance for the current week of lessons

- 180 Days Attendance Form (fill in dates each day we do lessons)

- Time Sheet (fill in time each day we do lessons)

- Reading List for the current week of lessons

- Library Books List

- Week-at-a-Glance for upcoming weeks (usually 1-2 weeks ahead of current week of lessons)

- Green Dated Attendance (transpose dates from 180 attendance form at end of school year)

- Report Card and Grade Records for current year (will add in the future)

- Printout of Homeschooling Laws for my state

- Printout of information on my state from HSLDA

- Printout of World Book Curriculum Standards for current year and next 1-2 years

- Course of Study for each year of planning ahead (usually 1-2 years)

- Curriculum/Materials Inventory

- Grade School Transcript

Please share with me... what do you include in your planner and how do you organize it?

I'll probably start including more of that as my child gets older. Right now I have:

~monthly calendar (home-made with our big dates printed in)

~weekly planner

~unit study planner

~book lists

~lots and lots of notebook paper

I don't have to worry about attendance, grades, etc at this point, so I'm not. Basically I have the stuff to keep me organized from week to week. :)

This year I've put my planner in the front of my Sonlight IG notebook. In the past I've put it in it's own binder, which I didn't love because an open binder takes so much space on the school table, or brought it to the office supply store to be spiral bound.

It contains:

one year at a glance calendar

a running calendar with 1" square boxes that allows me to write holidays, events, etc

a week at a glance calendar for me to write detailed notes of things to do

180 record pages where each day I record what I did with each child in each subject

book lists

history plans

science plans

In my planner:

12 month plan of what we want to cover in the year.

Then I have 12 tabs (1 for each month) and behind each tab is a sheet that has what I want to cover for the month on it. And then I have 4 sheets of paper, 2 for each child that has two week lesson plans. Behind the lesson plans I put any sort of worksheets or such that I want to use that week.

Basically, that is it.:001_smile:

Then 36 weeks of weekly schedules

I have a weekly working folder I have my weekly plan sheet with all the assignments and any resources I will need for the week. Hope that helps!
