Hunter
Chemistry: a volatile history. BBC DVD. All I have is my phone to search with and keep getting thrown into qwirky mobile sites with bad search features. What is the deal with this 3 video set? All I can find is clips and great reviews.
MomatHWTK
3 volumes- Discovering the Elements, Order of the Elements and Power of the Elements. What are you wanting to know?
Hunter
Where can I buy it? Then maybe I could get the ASIN number and request the library buy it. Or maybe it's already in the card catalog. Netflix? Amazon Prime? Rent it? Somehow I'm just not seeing this as viewable anywhere. I don't know if it's just that my phone is glitchy. It was on TV in the UK? Did it even come out in DVD in the USA?

Hunter
Thank you both SO much. I think I found the link to all 3 full episodes at vimeo. I couldn't have done it without you. https://vimeo.com/user7126995 I'm really looking forward to watching these! I think the vimeo ones are brighter than the YouTube ones, but I'm really glad to have 2 options in case one of these doesn't work.
Hunter
The link won't take. I have to go to the end of the vimeo video and click on "Declan Walls" to see all three videos listed.
Hunter
Has anyone watched these? I found some decent chem videos an Annenberg. They are a bit dated, but what I watched so far was still relevant. And they play on my phone.
Arcadia
Has anyone watched these? DS9 is watching episode 1 on his iPad now at the library. What kind of feedback are you looking for?

Hunter
I updated the title to this thread, so people can post any decent chem videos. I watched the 3rd video in this series on measurement. http://www.learner.org/resources/series61.html A couple of the scientists had me cracking up. The equipment used looks pretty dated. Hunter
I watched the first Cheeseburger Chemistry video here and thought is was good. http://www.nbclearn.com/chemistrynow My library lets us stream 10 videos a month from Hoopla. I have the app on my phone. I watched Bill Nye season 5 episode 17 on measurement. It was super basic, but worth watching I think.
raptor_dad
All of Peter Wother's videos rock! You could start with his Royal Institute Christmas Lecture, http://richannel.org/christmas-lectures/2012/peter-wothers His various Royal Society of Chemistry lectures might be even better. Check out https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=peter+wothers+royal+society+of+chemistry The first 6 lists are great.
Arcadia
I don't know. They are worth watching? They look it.The first one is a history lecture on chemistry. DS10 is slightly bored as he knew the stuff presented through his readings. He is the kind who read faster than the library/bookstore can acquire books. DS9 who is a much slower reader is enjoying the video. ETA: My boys finished watching episode one and two.
lailasmum
I watched them when they were on TV here. They are good and I really like Jim Al Khalili.
