alisoncooks
We're fans of CLE grammar...but we haven't even started the year yet and I'm already concerned about the day-in-and-day-out slog. :o I can't see us combining lessons to shorten the work-week since the lessons are already long (for us). Maybe I'm looking to lighten our (CLE-heavy) load. Can you share which curricula are designed to be taught 3 times a week? Or can you share ways you adapt CLE LA to 3x a week? ScoutTN
Not sure if it is intended to be that way, but we use FLL 3x a week and finish weeks before the school year does. And my kids retain it and seems to be able to apply it. We just do the straight up grammar. We do writing and poetry memorization separately, so we skip some lessons. SilverMoon
FLL is 3x/week. R&S is 4x/week if you do everything. If you skip the writing lessons and a handful of those lessons in the last chapter or two (phone manners and such), you can do it in 3x/week. hollyhock
CTGE is also 3x a week from the 4th grade book up. The lower levels are every day, though. For younger than 4th, R&S works well 3x a week if you skip most of the writing lessons.
Ellie
Pretty sure you could do most things 3x a week. If you want only grammar, then Easy Grammar is my favorite.
Heidi
English Lessons through Literature is 3x a week. I do R&S 2x a week by skipping the writing lessons, the chapter reviews, and the last chapter.
