amo_mea_filiis.
Can you hear and understand someone talking while chewing something crunchy or brushing your teeth?
SparklyUnicorn
I think I can. I haven't given it much thought.
jrn
I believe so. Although I do yell at the kids that I can't hear them while I'm doing dishes and they are in the other room trying to talk to me.
Guest
Well, hearing and understanding are two different horses. I voted that I can hear because I can, but understanding (in any circumstance) is variable.
Zydruna
I didn't respond to the poll because I do not have normal hearing. I have 2 perforated eardrums and I cannot hear a thing when chewing crunchy food. This is something I have to remind DH and DD of often when they are trying to have discussions with me over a bowl of tortilla chips. Arcadia
I can hear them mumbling but I can only understand family members because DS9 still talks with his mouth full often.
Jean in Newcastle
I voted yes, though for the teeth brushing thing it depends on if I have the water on at the moment. I also find teeth brushing to be an activity that I like to do without interruption. Unless you are telling me the house is on fire or something. amo_mea_filiis.
Thanks, everyone. :) I too prefer to brush in peace, but my kids don't yet grasp it. Lol
