chellesnead
I'm starting NAC with my 2nd grade boys next school year. Book 1 says that it is written with 1st graders in mind. Do I need to do book 1, or does book 2 stand alone and start from the beginning if I start there with the boys? Thanks! Michelle
ScoutTN
I started from the beginning with both of my kids at age 7 and am pleased with the results.
TheAutumnOak
Book one comes before book two...It says it is written with first graders in mind to let people know that they can use it with a student as young as first grade, because many people delay cursive instruction...You can use it with someone older than first...Don't start with book two without doing book one first... SparklyUnicorn
I bought book one for my 9 year old. It seems just fine for him. My point being it's not too young for even a 9 year old.
chellesnead
Great! Just wanted to make sure before I bought. Thank you!
OneStepAtATime
Yep, another vote for book 1. DS started Book 1 in 3rd grade. :) Worked fine. Get the Start Write Software, too, if you can. Awesome for typing out some great copywork from content subjects.

MotherOfBoys
Book one is a must but my first grader did two to three pages a day. Book two expects you to know the letter formations because the fourth lesson or so you are writing a sentence or two with artwork.
