4ofus
I just had to share ~ I just read this aloud to my husband & kids while we are driving to visit family for Thanksgiving. It is GREAT! It's short, funny, & beautifully illustrated. We laughed & laughed! Highly recommend!!
mathmarm
So...is it a picture book? YA Novel? I thought that it would be an article link, and when I didn't see one included, I googled it. Here is the "Book Trailer" on YouTube

4ofus
Sorry to be so brief. I'm on my phone & I really dislike using the internet on my phone. It's too cumbersome. I think it's categorized as an illustrated children's novel, but it's very short. I read it aloud during a road trip. I read it straight through, only pausing to giggle & pass the book around so everyone could see the pictures. We are 40-somethings with 10 & 11 yr old kids. It was so much fun! They could have easily read it themselves, it's a very simple reading level, but the story just begs to be read out loud. I'm glad I picked it. Miss Tick
Our library has the audiobook read by Neil Gaiman. It was good. There is also Odd and the Frost Giants (same author).
Farrar
The audiobook was great. By the end, the kids and I were howling with laughter. It's an incredibly short chapter book. For any age (even dh and I loved it). Probably best once a kid can follow a longer story.
4ofus
Does he do all the voices on the audiobook? We will have to listen to it if he does! Occasionally I'd slip into the wrong character voice when I was reading & the kids would insist I reread the dialogue correctly.
Momling
Neil Gaiman is awesome and I love how he reads his own audiobooks.
Farrar
He reads well. He does what I'd call half voices (except for the aliens, where he talks into some machine). He's not a voice actor... But he has great expression.
NoseInABook
We love that book here. Of course, I'm a huge Gaiman fan. :)

redsquirrel
After one listen it was put on our family's list of "audio books we must listen to on a long road trip" We also have Odd and the Frost Giants by Gaiman (which I adore) and "The Graveyard Book" which is my personal favorite. We also sing along with all the songs from Doctor Horrible's Singalong Blog, just in case you were worried it was all Gaiman all the time. I am convinced "Fortunately the milk" is one of his rejected Doctor Who scripts. He has written several so this might have been a practice run.
