I get cocoa butter sticks from any drug store. They are usually on the counter and cost around a dollar.

I get my shea butter from African vendors at an international festival near me. A one pound tub costs $5-$10 and lasts for a year or two. I have heard that the African ethnic market and some of the beauty supply stores around me (I live in a black Creole town) sell the same tubs of handcut, raw shea butter that I use. I'll bet you could order it online, too, but I'd want to smell it if I could. Sometimes it's rancid, and smells nasty.

My tubs look like the 16 oz tub. Same label. I have white now. It has a milder smell. I think I prefer the yellow. It's nuttier.
