kbutton
Was this with a psychologist, the school district? When a child has scores that are fairly wide apart (like 56-75), they can sometimes calculate a general abilities index score (GAI). It's like the full score, but it tries to even out the bumps and get an accurate guess about the full IQ. There are rules for this, and maybe the other scores skew things too much to use the GAI. Did anyone tell you what the different acronyms mean? Did they do any other testing, such as the Woodcock Johnson test?
kiwik
The GAI would remove the WMI and the PSI which would give a score in the 70's. That would still be quite low. Was the child medicated for ADHD at the time of testing.
AliR
Listening in on this thread. I have just got the results for DD and they are: VC 85 PR 86 WM 68 PS 91 This is a similar pattern, with the exception of the processing speed, and I was told that it could not be interpreted. I am interested to know how any of this makes sense, especially as DD has unmedicated ADHD and specific language impairment. I would expect both these to impact massively on test performance, but there was no comment made on this.
geodob
The real story is within the sub-tests,
