Ottakee
Dh has yet another job interview (we went to WY and he was offered the job but cost of living and housing was just way too high for the $ offered). This time it is in Waterloo, IA. It appears like housing is much more reasonable there. How are taxes? General cost of living---utilities, groceries, gas, etc? Then the BIG thing for me..........if anyone knows, are there great horseback riding areas? Dh and I are headed there this week for the interview and to look around the area. Ottakee
Thanks. Just wondering what the weather, taxes, cost of living, etc. is in that area. How is the housing market?
SadieMarie
It is typical Iowa weather lol, hot and humid in the summer and cold in the winter. As to housing, it looks very affordable compared to Iowa City. But you can get a general idea here: http://www.zillow.com/waterloo-ia/Iowa does have state income tax. That is why our state budget is in good shape :) compared to so many. You also might want to look at Cedar Falls.
