Quick Math Mammoth question

Thanks! If I get a new printer I will be getting the PDFs but if not I am just going to get the printed books. My old inkjet goes through cartridges every 200 or so pages at $45 a pop.

I just found out  recently I can get generic refilled ink on ebay for about 1/10th the cost for my ancient inkjet...  They work just as well...  I dream of a good laser printer.

I haven't used answer keys for any of the grades so far, but we haven't done grade 6 yet. Even for 5A and 5B, I think it would've taken more time to look the answers up than to just do the problems in my head.

Same here. We are in 6a and have not felt the need for an answer key yet. To be honest I only spot check dd's work as she usually has little trouble with math and the explanation and examples in MM are very clear.

Brother 2270DW laser printer can often be found on sale for anywhere from $60-80. Paper is often free after rebate from Staples and other office supply stores. And MM PDFs go on sale a couple times a year for less than $70.

So use those figures when calculating cost. I think a laser printer is a good investment, and they don't have to be expensive.

We have an awesome laser printer, however, for math mammoth, I had Office Depot print them when they would offer a 25% off coupon in the paper.  It worked out to be about $20 printing double sided for each section (ie 4a, 4b) for 2 boys.  So for about $10 to not have my printer and ink and they 3hole punched it for me, it was perfect!  Just an idea....
