Chrysalis Academy
Hmm, this might be a good thing for that hard-to-fit period. I like the looks of the sample: http://www.heinemann.com/products/E04794.aspx
sagira
Ooh I like it, but I'm wondering if for my future seventh grader I should just skip this and jump directly to Paragraphs for Middle School.. Next year in sixth we're finishing Sentence Composing for Elementary. He was too "young" for it last year and this year.
SeaConquest
So, this is for after the Sentence Composing for Elementary book?

Yes, I think so - my 7th grader will be going directly to Paragraphs for Middle School. This one focuses more on style. I like the looks of the Elementary one for my younger in 3rd-4th grader, because I think it does a good job of explicitly teaching paragraph construction, as well as style. deerforest
I saw it the other day and almost bought it. So, I jumped on it today when I saw this thread. We've been doing Paragraph Book series, but it's pretty basic so we're flying through it, and I need something more sophisticated next. Chelli
I noticed this one discusses sentences in the first half of the book. Do you think it would replace the Sentence Composing for Elementary?
Roadrunner
This is perfect! We are working on paragraphs around here. I think it will be the perfect complement to MCT Town assignments. Did I tell you how much we enjoyed the sentence composing book? :)
