Laurie
"Hive" consumer alert! If anyone is considering honeycomb shades please think twice before ordering them if you have cats. We've already got a tear in one of our new shades, thanks to Alexander The Gray. The shade is a dark color which makes the tear especially obvious with the light coming through it. This morning I called to see if we could get a little piece of the material from Hunter Douglas to make a patch, but I was told no. :cursing: I should've known that cat was going to be trouble when I noticed that the white marks on his chest are shaped and positioned exactly like the black triangles used in the "radioactive" symbol. Fortunately the "fallout" from my dh (who is NOT a cat person) was minimal. (He yelled out the backdoor for me to "come see what YOUR cat did!" ) Anyway, now I know for certain that cats and honeycomb shades don't mix ... unless you have a Well Trained Feline! Remudamom
We have four indoor/outdoor cats. Thankfully my dh is a real cat person (dog person, horse person) and they have to cause a lot of damage before he calls them "YOUR cat"!
Gretchen in NJ
Those darn cats.:glare: I think that is why they also so cute. Otherwise..........! My poor couch.
GailV
Hmmm, we've had both honeycomb shades and cats for years with nary a problem. Then again, that's about the ONLY problem we haven't had; also, Darth Bootsie is still young and has not developed the full power of The Force.
