itsmylife
I am looking for a book with advanced Math Logic problems gearedtowards 2nd graders. Right now this involved searching the internet for these and printing them. I would like to get one book and just work through it. I am looking for multiple level problems involving addition, subtraction, basi c multiplication (example, 358 x 2, 48 x 3), basic division and beginning fractions. What I am envisioning is this book with many logic problems that I can just pull and work on with DD. TIA!
Dana
I don't see how that is logic...but sounds like you may be looking for just a spectrum workbook.
hellen
It's not quite what you are looking for but you should take a look at Balance Math.
Monica_in_Switzerland
I've never used it, but Critical Thinking Company has both a math curriculum and a math supplement book that looks really interesting. I plan to get it for the upcoming school year to help slow down Singapore Math.
ladydusk
This is listed as 3rd+, but my second grader did these last year and didn't have problems with the math until the very end of the book. Critical Thinking Company's Crypto Mind Benders: Classic Jokes. They are math heavy to solve a mind bender square then translate a crypto-quote style quote. I thought they were quite fun. HappytoHS
My kids are a bit older but they love CTC's Mind Benders, Balance Math and Balance Benders. I'm pretty sure they have Mind Benders for your dd's age and they are fun. DD9 crawled out of bed last night to finish one of the puzzles that was buzzing in her head and not letting her sleep :). stripe
Some logic ideas: http://www.amazon.com/Practice-Observation-Logic-Competitive-Mathematics/dp/0615828051/ http://teacherexpress.scholastic.com/logic-posters-problems-puzzles http://www.amazon.com/Brown-Paper-School-book-Problem/dp/0316117439/ I am not sure that what you are seeking (+, -, x, ÷, fractions, and decimals), is logic problems, though. There are websites that allow you to generate pages of problems. My favorite is probably http://www.worksheetworks.com/math.html There are quite a few Scholastic books with puzzles and mysteries and art involved with math problems that put some sort of fun veneer over a page of drilling.
