You could do 6 months focusing on new (to him) concepts: http://www.tabletclass.com/courses/prealgebra.aspx AoPS Pre-A has advanced concepts as well. Will he be using BJU for Algebra 1? If he needs more time, then maybe Life Of Fred Algebra. Or maybe some geometry. I've personally, not used it, but what does Patty Paper Geometry cover? housemouse Posted January 27, 2014 Author Share Posted January 27, 2014 Thank you ladies for the ideas and advice. We are going through the new edition(yellow cover) of BJU Pre-Algebra. I will probably just slow him down a bit so there is no more than 45-60 minutes of math in one sitting and do some fun math like Life of Fred or similar in between and just keep going until it is done and when we are done, we'll just move on to algebra 1 and call it that.
