Changed
I've been using BFIAR with my 2 and 3yo...well, I've been using the books listed and then just doing a google or pinterest search for activities. I don't really like the way BFIAR is set up. There just doesn't seem to be anything in the book that I can't find online. We are about finished with it and I am wondering if spending the money on FIAR will be worth it, or if I can just use the books listed and find activities online. Or does FIAR have more activities, or lesson plans, or something that BFIAR doesn't? TIA
Cheryl in CA
You can download the entire chapter for The Story of Ping from Volume 1 here to see if it is different enough to make it worth purchasing for you :) http://fiveinarow.com/five-in-a-row/

Irishmommy
I like FIAR much better than BFIAR, but I think it can be helpful to those who just don't know where to begin.
Holly
I think they are set up quite a bit differently. FIAR has more background information and is divided more by subject that BFIAR.
amiesmom
I agree that FIAR has a more detail, options, and information that B4FIAR, but I still find myself just jumping on pinterest to see what others have done with their rows. Have you checked out the blog delightful learning, she has awesome posts on what she's done with FIAR. So I do have all the manuals, but I don't use them much, in reality I could probably do without them.
Cheryl in CA
I don't use my FIAR manuals much either...shhhhh ;)
Tmhearn
I used my manuals a lot in the beginning. My oldest was 4, so I didn't know a lot about children's books and authors. And there was no Pinterest. :-) It sounds like you know what you're doing, so you probably wouldn't need them.
