mathnerd
My 6 year old is crazy about Greek mythology. He cannot handle the D'aulaire greek myths book yet and he told me that he would prefer an easier book. I got him the Mary Pope Osbourne's Odyssey series to read for now. What I would like is a recommendation for a book on Greek mythology (a book with a few pictures for illustration would be great) for a 6 year old who is a strong reader. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Guest
The current K'er prefers D'Aulaire, but the ex-baby's favourite was http://www.amazon.com/Classic-Myths-Read-Aloud-Educational/dp/0517588374 He also loved Odds Bodkin's audiobook of The Odyssey at that age. mathnerd
Thank you all! These are such great recommendations. I went and showed him all the books you all recommended - there are some in our library and we will order a couple of the others.

Julie Smith
Not the book you are looking for, but if he wants a fiction book check out the, "Heroes in Training" series. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_c_0_13?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=heroes%20in%20training&sprefix=heroes+in+tra%2Caps%2C201
