elegantlion
I'm looking for me, so anything from middle school level and up probably. I'm using Duolingo and I have another video source, yet I need more grammar material. I found a couple of books on Amazon. However, until I can buy them, I'd like to find some free printable resources. I prefer to print them versus working online.
Cosmos
The french.about.com page is very good for explaining grammar concepts, idioms, etc. I don't know if they have worksheets, but there is a lot on the site. I also use duolingo, and people seem to link to the about.com page quite often.
Jen500
There is an older version of French Now on Amazon for $12. We've used it as a supplement. :lurk5:

elegantlion
I don't have time to go through all the links at the moment, but here is a list of links I've been saving for French. http://www.bbc.co.uk/languages/french/ http://www.skoldo.com/ http://thecanadianhomeschooler.com/2011/09/french-as-a-second-language-resources/ http://forums.welltrainedmind.com/topic/478633-using-so-you-really-want-to-learn-french-at-home/ http://forums.welltrainedmind.com/topic/477179-foreign-langugage-sos/ http://forums.welltrainedmind.com/topic/470855-french-curriculum-question/?hl=+french http://forums.welltrainedmind.com/topic/471675-french-or-spanish/ http://forums.welltrainedmind.com/topic/489718-spanish-and-french-curriculum-suggestions/?p=5224639 http://www.tobreak.com/the-program/the-french-series http://ielanguages.com/frenchindex.html Clearly, some of the links are to curriculum suggestions here and not worksheets per se, but you never know what gem may be buried in a WTM thread! Oh, lovely! Thank you.
elegantlion
Because I am procrastinating on doing other things, here are a few more links: http://www.supersubstituteteachers.com/printables/french.htm http://www.education.com/worksheets/french/ http://voices.yahoo.com/free-printable-french-worksheets-2192747.html?cat=4 http://www.pinterest.com/chillolacom/french-worksheets-for-children-francais-activites-/ http://french.lovetoknow.com/Free_Printable_French_Worksheets_for_High_School_Students http://www.extraworksheets.com/highschoolfrench.php http://french.lovetoknow.com/French_Worksheets http://www.french-linguistics.co.uk/free-worksheets/ http://www.worksheetlibrary.com/subjects/languages/french/ And because my son doesn't want to do anything festive, I'll check them out now. SunnyDays
Just marking the thread for reference... I would very much like to relearn French (four years in high school, I know some of it is hiding deep in my brain!) and this is a great list of links!! Thanks EM for the list, and thanks EL for posing the question!! :)
mumto2
You might want to see if your library has any Practice Made Perfect books for french. Dd has used the Complete French Grammar copies owned by the library for practice a few times. These books seem to be a really good series. sarawatsonim
On a language learning forum I am on, many members on there who have learned or are in the process of learning French highly recommend this French grammar book and the price is awesome. elegantlion
I ended up with EZ French. I was at my college bookstore today buying textbooks and it looked the most complete for what I want to do. I'll probably end up using several of the ideas here in my self-study. sarawatsonim
I'm doing a self study too so I am slowly accumulating a bunch of sources to aid in that. The How To Learn Any Language forum is full of resources, links, ideas, and language learning plans all compiled by hardcore Polyglots. It is worth a perusal….although the site is very old school looking ;)
