MtnMama
Would anyone care to share favorite BBC Radio shows? I've been listening to and loving Cabin Pressure, and I'm wondering what else I should try. Comedies, dramas, all suggestions welcome. Thanks! Jane in NC
I listen to BBC Radio 4 Ex all the time, particularly the dramatizations of mysteries. The schedule for the serials changes regularly so I check to see what is available through through I-player. Their homepage can be found here. Cinder
I've only heard the production of Neverwhere; I really liked it. Looks like it will re-air on Dec 25.
horsellian
If you like Cabin Pressure, then a good thing to do would be to look at all the programmes in the Radio 4 schedule at 6.30pm - that's the comedy slot on weekday evenings. Some of the current events comedy there can be rather UK specific though - like the News Quiz or the Now Show. I would guess that 4 and 4 Extra will have lots of good drama on over Christmas too - I thought Neverwhere was excellent.
Laura Corin
If you like Cabin Pressure, then a good thing to do would be to look at all the programmes in the Radio 4 schedule at 6.30pm - that's the comedy slot on weekday evenings. Some of the current events comedy there can be rather UK specific though - like the News Quiz or the Now Show. There's also sometimes a late-night comedy slot on Radio 4. The quality is a bit more variable and it can be a bit more near the knuckle, but there's some good stuff. I enjoyed Warhorses of Letters. There are regular one-off dramas on weekday afternoons at 2.15 and there is a classic serial that airs on Sunday afternoons - all on Radio 4.
