Soph the vet
I am fairly new to the board. Just curious to see how many other cold-weather lovers are out there. Any broomball enthusiasts?
MNClaire
Not a broomball enthusiast, tho. Sorry. I'm in Wright County.
Ms. Riding Hood
Me too. Just glad for the "balmy" weather we've been having. Positively spring-like! But no broomball.
AnneJ
However, I'm not a particular fan of the cold. My DH, on the other land, loves the cold and wears shorts all winter long. No broomball here.
Stirsmommy
I have been here for about 11 mos. I haven't tried broomball but the kids have. As for the cold, a year ago I would have been miserable about it being in the twenties now I am grateful and giddy. My family is in Texas and keep complaining about the cold (it was 32). Wimps! I am in the Duluth area. Are you anywhere near me? Melissa
MMinMN
Central Minnesota here...no broomball, but we do ice fish quite a bit.
Soph the vet
I'm in the Twin Cities, on the north side, fifteen minutes from downtown. I transplanted from Connecticut about 18 years ago. I always loved Little House on the Prairie but I never wanted to live in Minnesota because it is known for being so cold! But that is what happens when you marry a MN boy. AnneJ
When we lived in NE, my DH used to complain that it was so hot!!! He always said that we would move back to MN, especially since it was the land of 10,000 lakes. Um..... Do we have any lakes nearby? Nope. Not a single one that would qualify. Tina
Several hours north of the Cities here. Wow, haven't heard anyone mention broomball for years!! My boys play hockey (without skates) on a weekly basis with friends here to while away the winter. :)
chai
We just moved away from MN last August. Just one winter away and I'm already a wimp! I grew up in central MN, but lived in Woodbury the last 15 years. I used to play broomball when I was in college. I think I did it just so that I could brag about it later (and because of a certain guy, whom I later married:D)--I really don't like cold weather sports. Jeanne in MN
Not necessarily a cold weather lover nor a broomball player, but I do love cross country skiing and I think I'd probably enjoy broomball if I ever had a chance to try it! I've been appreciating the warmer temps this week!
